Brad Stevens returned to the place of his childhood and the place where he made a name for himself by leading Butler University to back-to-back championship games in six seasons. The reception was cordial but the Pacers quickly reminded Mr. Stevens and all that may have been concerned, that they were not at the Fieldhouse to extend pleasantries.
The Indianapolis Pacers possess the best record in the East and appear to be a well-balanced cavalcade. The Pacers are coming together as a unit and are primed for further dominance in a lukewarm Eastern Conference with the reactivating of Danny ‘the Ranger’ Granger. The prospects of such an addition is quite frightening if he can come close to his previous form. In his second game back, Granger chipped in with 12 points.
The C’s really didn’t stand a chance against an over-all complete team that is focused on some unfinished business from last year. Don’t feel bad for Boston, the Pacers have not singled anybody out this season. The Pacers sent Coach Stevens and company back to Beantown with a 27-point
For Boston, it’s time to check their focus and examine whether or not they want to wait until next season to make a move or seize a rather unique opportunity in the very unstable Atlantic Division.
