The Charlotte Bobcats are looking to put theirĀ 7-59 season (worst winning percentage in NBA history) in 2011-2012 behind them as they move forward. Their first step? A uniform change.
The new unis look to introduce some Carolina blue into the mix, while also shortening the nickname of the front of the home jerseys from ‘Bobcats’ to just ‘Cats.’

Since being founded in 2004, the Bobcats have already undergone several big uniform changes. You might remember these from their inception:

And then they introduced these as alternates:

And then later tweaked them to these…

And most recently, we’ve seen them wear these over the past few years…

Apparently, they haven’t yet figured out that changing your uniforms doesn’t automatically mean you’ll have more success on the court. You actually need to employ good players to wear those uniforms. Their design department is clearly working harder than their front office.
And if you’re looking for my opinion on the new uniforms (you’re probably not, but I’m going to give it to you anyway) I think they’re lame. I like the ones from the last few seasons way better.
