Jon Lester may not have been on top of his game Wednesday night, but the Red Sox offense certainly did not help him out. Boston’s southpaw allowed four runs on right hits in 7 1/3 innings of work. Struggling with his control, Lester walked five Twins batters and struck out four as the Sox failed in their bid for a sweep, losing 5-2. With the loss, Lester’s record drops to 1-6 on the season.
