Dustin Pedroia credited the Red Sox win Wednesday night to doing the “little things.” Catcher Jason Varitek did more than just little things, recording a double and a home run, but Pedey’s point should be well taken. The Boston batters took a lot of pitches and really dragged out at-bats, even ones that ended in unproductive outs. Jacoby Ellsbury also smashed a home run.
