Both Boston Celtics’s Head coach Doc Rivers and New England Patriots’s quarterback Tom Brady received awards today. Rivers was named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for November and Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Rivers has led the C’s to a 13-4 start that places them in a tie with the Magic for the #1 spot in the East. He’s done a fantastic job managing minutes with his injury-plagued group of veterans. With Kendrick Perkins and Delonte West still out for extended time, Doc’s work is far from over.
Brady led the Pats to a 39-26 victory over the Lions on Thanksgiving. He threw for 341 yards, connecting on 21 of his 27 pass attempts. The 3x Super Bowl Champions tallied 4 touchdowns on the afternoon, while throwing no interceptions.
Congrats to Doc and Tom on fantastic jobs. Let’s hope they continue their efforts and perform at a high level when it really counts.
