If you ever wanted to see a wild and woolly game, the Celtics and the Suns had one that was top billing.
This one wasn’t easy on the basket(eye)ball at all. Boston turned in it’s worst shooting performance of the season (30.9 percent). The C’s have now lost 10 of their last 13 contests and from this outing, they don’t look anywhere close to registering a victory.
There’s always 2K14!
Again Kris Humphries came to play and to (do the) hustle against the opposition. He led Boston with 11 points…….ELEVEN points. He added 13 rebounds but was also called for basket interference at one point which nullified two points.
This game also marked the return of Boston’s one-time leading man off the bench, Avery Bradley, who missed the previous 13 games with an injured right ankle.
And things continued to follow the script of the “Keystone Cop” variety with 30.3 seconds left Rondo loses control of the ball while going out of bounds but manages to toss it to Chris Johnson, who throws it in the direction of Jeff Green, only to be tipped into the hands of Markieff Morris, who goes the distance to slam the ball and the door on the Celtics. (You have to read this at a frenzied pace)
