Seguin Headed To Switzerland

Posted by Kenneth Fenderson on September 20, 2012

EHC Biel of Switzerland announced on it’s website today that Bruins’ forward Tyler Seguin has reached an agreement to play with the club through December 31st. Seguin will report to camp on Saturday and will begin play some time next week. Just 20 years old, Seguin lead the team last year with 29 goals and 67 points, while missing just one game due to a team imposed suspension for sleeping through a team breakfast. The interesting thing about this deal is that he is committed through December 31st. Does this mean that even if the new CBA is settled prior to that, say, November for instance, he still has to honor that contract and miss games for the Bruins? I have no idea. If anybody does, please share with us.
