E’Twaun Moore is already heading to Italy during the NBA lockout, and now former Celtic Von Wafer appears to be too.
Wafer has agreed to play for the Venoli Cremona of Italy’s Lega Serie A and does have an opt-out clause in case there is professional basketball in America this year. Moore will be playing in the same league, for Benetton Treviso.
Wafer signed a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Celtics last offseason and earned a spot on the roster. He was mediocre at best in season and is not at the top of Boston’s free agent wish list to say the least.
You may remember him getting into a fight with Delonte West and celebrating after a missed dunk. Wafer does, however, want to return to Boston if there is a 2011-12 season, according to his agent Terrance Doyle.
