Scal and Thibs Return to Boston

Posted by Stephen Bailey on November 5, 2010

Expect TD Banknorth Garden to get loud tonight as the Brian Scalabrine returns to Beantown for the first time since signing with Chicago this off-season. Also returning will be defensive-minded coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibs served as an assistant coach to Doc Rivers for the last three seasons and was hired by the Bulls to run their squad. I think he has the potential to be a very successful coach in the NBA.

Thibodeau has led Chicago to a 2-2 start to the season, but must have high hopes with a team as talented as his. I personally have the Bulls finishing 3rd in the Eastern Conference and losing in the conference finals to Boston, For all of my predictions, check out my Eastern Conference Predictions, Western Conference Predictions, and Playoff Predictions.

My love for Scalabrine is pretty highly publicized. The weekly podcast I’ve started doing with Jesse Behr is titled Sons of Scal. Click here to listen to the first banter-filled episode, “Paying Our Dues.” You can also read my threatening letter towards Joey Dorsey here, after Dorsey struck the big red head, earning him a one-game suspension.

It will be nice to see the pair of ex-Celtics back in town, but the Bulls present a tough challenge for the C’s. Be sure to keep an eye on the outstanding point-guard matchup between Rajon Rondo and Derrick Rose.

The game tips at 8:00 PM and will be aired nation-wide on ESPN.
