Message on Celtics’ dry erase board after Game 6: “Pack for a week”

Posted by Pete Blackburn on June 8, 2012

After the Heat’s Game 6 blow out of the Celtics in Boston on Thursday night, there was a simple message written on a white board in the C’s locker room, written by coach Doc Rivers  - “Pack for a week.”

If the Celts beat the Heat on Saturday night in Miami they’ll head straight to Oklahoma City for Game 1 of the Finals on Tuesday, and this message indicates that’s exactly what Doc thinks will happen.

Great move by Doc to get the team’s mind off Thursday’s loss right away and get them thinking and prepared for Saturday’s do-or-die Game 7. I’m not so sure I’m as confident as Rivers, but I love the message nonetheless.
